Some Hyperlinks do not work on a single slide!

I have inserted a SmartArt object into a slide (4 Rectangles forming a larger
rectangle with a small rectangle in the center for a title)

I can add a hyperlink to the text in any of the individual 4 quadrants.
When you right click on any text and choose "Open Hyperlink" they all work
fine.  However when you are in "Slide Show" only the upper right and lower
left quadrants text displays the Hand cursor and actually link to the target
slide.  The upper left and lower right quadrants do not have the hand appear
when you roll over the text.

I've tried pretty much everything I can think of.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!!

Perhaps the z-order is the problem?
Are the other boxes overlapping (covering the other quadrants)?

Another option is it remove all links from your art, then draw new
rectangles over each section to be hyperlinked. Link as required then make
each rectangle transparent (no line, no fill).  Have used this trick a few
times in the past.

Can you replicate this in a simple two or three slide file?

If so, I'll be happy to have a look.

attach the file.  Send to steve at-sign pptools period com
