Powerpoint 2007: setting default font and size

I am starting to use Powerpoint 2007 (long-time user of 1998, 2000, and
2003).  The font type is set to Colabri, size = 18 point for text boxes.
What are the 942 steps necessary (if it's possible) to get the text box to
default to the font I want, and to the size I want?  Do I have to go to
Insert/text box, do the text, then go to Home/font type and Home/font size
for every text box to change them to the font and size I want?

Thanks

Try setting the font you need, right click > set as default text box

Hi Iranal,

not 942 steps, only a few:

- insert a text box,
- type in some sample text,
- format it to your needs,
- right-click and save as default
- delete sample text box.

Additionally I would recommend to set Calibri as your standard using the
theme fonts.

Best regards,
Ute

Ute:

Thanks.  The fourth step requires selecting the text box (not leaving the
cursor in the text), which I figured out.  It works OK now.

By the way, what is so special about "Calibri"?

Calibri is one of the new fonts that comes with Office 2007. The new fonts
tend to look better than the old ones, especially on flat screens and
projectors.
