There is no genuine PowerPoint 2007 viewer. The viewer which is packaged to
CD is the PPT 2003 viewer, thus the presentations are converted to the old
PowerPoint 97-2003 format - and lose their soft shadows. But this is the
only viewer, which can be run from CD. The PowerPoint 2007 viewer is a 2003
viewer with the compatibility pack added, thus it doesn't show the shadows
either, and does not start from CD.

Use the archive file option of Package to CD to package your files without
the viewer and keep the PPTX or PPSX format. Then use the full version of
PowerPoint 2007 to present your file.

Best regards,
Ute

Could you please elaborate a bit more, WHAT did not work for you? Do you
have to use a viewer? Shadows should work fine, if you chose to package
without the viewer and show the presentation in the full version of
PowerPoint.

If packaging does not work for you, you can copy the presentation and all
linked files into ONE folder, correct the links manually, if necessary. Then
burn the contents of the folder to a CD.

Best regards,
Ute
