You need to tell us which version you have. For PPT 2002/3 try selecting the
screen shot then Slide show>custom animation>add effect > entrance > pinwheel

I am using Powerpoint 2003 and I have tried each step that you have suggested.
Every slide without a screen shot animates perfectly. when I just type text
into the area I want to animate it is also perfect. When I insert the screen
shot the animation no longer works.

Since I am doing the powerpoint on my laptop, I am copying the screen shot
into Powepoint 2000 and then onto my flash drive and from that into Power
Point 2003. I suppose that could be the problem but I have copied other
slides (Viso drawings)in this same way and have no problem with them.
