I am making several powerpoint presentations, and I want the company logo on all the slides. The logo uses 'earth' font, which is not available on all computers, so I need to embed it, or use a picture in the template. I thought of 3 options. 1. I tried embedding (part of) the font in the template. This worked for the template, but not for any presentations that use it. 2. I tried saving the logo as an image. When I opened this, it came out in a different font, looking like the logo when the font is not installed. 3. Embedding the font in each presentation. I cannot find an option that embeds e.g. the font used in the logo, but not all fonts used in the presentation. Can you help me find an option that works? I didnt actually remove the test font but when I did you're right! paste special as png / gif seems to work but quality is poor. EMFs and WMFs are vector formats, not images, and can contain fonted text. If the needed font is missing, another will be substituted. PasteSpecial as a PNG instead. That may help. Or if you have a program like Corel Draw or Illustrator, you can convert the text to graphics (convert to curves in DrawSpeak, convert to paths in Illustratorian) and save that as an EMF/WMF for import into PPT. If you save it as an image it is no longer a font, and should make know difference if the font is installed or not. Create your logo in the position you want using the colours/background you want on a blank slide. Save that slide as an image (I'd Select .PNG as the file type) then insert that image as your background into your template. That should solve the font problem. I assumed, as you said, that this would then be an image, rather than using the font, but if you remove the font, it changes (try it!). Dear T3V Note that when you save text as a PNG, the quality of the font is often comprimised. To work around this you can create the text part of your logo in Word Art - using your desired font. Now when you save the text as an image, it will be more clear. Make the logo fill the whole slide (this will eliminate the jaggies). Save it as a .PNG file, and then insert that into your master as your logo scaling it to whatever size you want.
