Creating charts that pull data from Excel spreadsheets

Is it possible to create a template that creates charts and graphs from
different spreadsheets.  The spreadsheets would have the same name and
layout but the values would be different.  So the charts and graphs would be
different.

Should be ..

You'd create your charts in one spreadsheet, let's call it A.XLS

Select the chart, Edit, Copy.
Switch to PPT, choose Edit, PasteSpecial and choose to Link.

The chart in PPT is now linked to the chart in A.XLS

Now copy A.XLS to B.XLS

B.XLS contains the original chart data

Make changes to A.XLS
When you open your PPT the next time, the charts will update from A.XLS

Copy B.XLS back to A.XLS and the charts revert.
