Hi,

my daughter is getting married and I obviously need to prepare a father of
the bride speech.

But I don't simply want to thank the guests for coming to my daughters
wedding, I would also like to say a bit about my daughter. Of how proud I am
of her, as well as her steps into marriage.

Is there like a Father of the Bride speech template I could use and
elaborate upon and simply fill in the blanks?

Well you could always start off, holding up your notes, with:
This is not the first time that I have risen from a warm seat with a sheet
of paper in my hand....

The father being called "Jane" should be a good icebreaker!

If you google for "father of the bride" speech you'll get a lot of hits.
This one may help

It seems to me you've already written the first paragraph of your speech right
there.  That's a great introduction.

Wouldn't you rather the speech expressed what YOU want to say about YOUR
daughter than read some canned speech about [Fill In Daughter's Name Here] and
all of her antics like [Describe Some Funny Incident].

You're already off to a good start.  Go with it ...
