Zoom out of your slideshow - so you can see the whole picture.
Then re-size the picture (in powerpoint) by clicking the picture once, then
click and drag any one of the corner handles (those white boxes) to shrink
the picture to fit the 'slide area'

On the 'insert' menu of powerpoint choose 'insert a new slide'
then insert your next picture
