slides being skipped during presentation

...and i don't want them skipped. It doesn't do it consistently, but when I'm
running through a presentation, some of my slides are being skipped right
over. In fact, it's jumping ahead by about 5 slides. I don't have anything
different about slide transition on those slides being skipped, and as I
noted earlier, it doesn't do it all the time.

Is my PPT just having the hiccups? Maybe it's my computer? More likely it's
just the operator. :^)

Thoughts?

From your description, my guess is that it is some bit of hardware on
your computer. Are you, by an chance, using a wireless mouse or keyboard?
If it were PowerPoint, chances are that it would be consistent and some
setting (slide transition, hidden slide, etc.) would be me messed up. The
inconsistency leads me to believe that one mouse click is registering as
more than one or one click of the space bar is registering as more than
one. Have you tried it on a different computer?

Maybe I'm clicking away too fast to motor through my presentation (still
praciticing and reviewing). That may be why one mouse click is registering as
more. I'll try it out on our laptop at normal speed and see what happens.

Thanks David.

If you are using a wireless mouse, put in a fresh battery. My wireless mouse
shows "funny behavior", too, when nearly run out of power.

Best regards,
Ute
