I have the Office 2000 Powerpoint version.

If I create a .ppt or .pps file and take it to a business............can
they view the file if they don't have Powerpoint installed?

Is there a program that could make the .ppt into flash or something that
will be viewable on any platform?

yes they can
they must have the powerpointviewer, free download on microsoft

google 'powerpoint to flash' for converting software
there's a lot on the market
try before you buy
