I teach high school and the custom templates my students create are saved on
the C: Drive instead of their home directories.  We can get the templates to
appear in the preview task pane if we Browse...for them, but we can't get
them to apply to the slide show.  Can anyone help?  Is there any way to set
the template task pane to retrieve and display .pot files from the C: drive?

They really created some great designs, and its disappointing we can't use
them.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

When the kids created the "templates," did they do their work on the slide
masters, or just on a regular slide? That might be the problem, and the C
drive issue may just be a red herring.

Interesting.  The textbook I'm using doesn't mention master slides until the
next chapter.  It gives the directions to create and save a custom template
when it introduces the use of design templates.  It made sense to me that it
should have been done on the master, but I figured I just wasn't aware it
could be done in the way they described.  We can save the design template and
it will show up in the design templates task pane, but it just won't apply.
I thought maybe it had something to do with being on a network.  Maybe I'll
just alter the lessons a bit and hit this again when we discuss slide
masters!  =^)  Thanks!
