Hi Guys,

I am not able to use any features of Powerpoint 2003 in Vista. Some of
the problems:

1. When I double click a PPT file, the PPT program opens up, but I
cant see the slides.
2. For some files, whic do open, I can only see the first slide
(irrespective of the number of slides in the existing file)
3. When I try to create a new file, I cant save it.

After opening the file, WHATEVER I might do, I get an error message
that PowerPoint stopped working. It asks me whether I want to send the
error information. I tried to collect the error information (which I
see when I click "View Information" button before sending the error
information to Microsoft). Here are the various error message details:

Files that help describe the problem:
C:\Users\memory vision\AppData\Local\Temp\3814723.cvr
 C:\Users\memory vision\AppData\Local\Temp\WER3717.tmp.version.txt
 C:\Users\memory vision\AppData\Local\Temp\WER4C1E.tmp.appcompat.txt
 C:\Users\memory vision\AppData\Local\Temp\WER6154.tmp.mdmp

Files that help describe the problem:

 C:\Users\memory vision\AppData\Local\Temp\WER5EB4.tmp.version.txt
 C:\Users\memory vision\AppData\Local\Temp\WER76E6.tmp.appcompat.txt
 C:\Users\memory vision\AppData\Local\Temp\WER84CC.tmp.mdmp

Files that help describe the problem:
 C:\Users\memory vision\AppData\Local\Temp\4999145.cvr
 C:\Users\memory vision\AppData\Local\Temp\WER4895.tmp.version.txt
 C:\Users\memory vision\AppData\Local\Temp\WER6597.tmp.appcompat.txt
 C:\Users\memory vision\AppData\Local\Temp\WER673E.tmp.mdmp

Files that help describe the problem:
 C:\Users\memory vision\AppData\Local\Temp\5089610.cvr
 C:\Users\memory vision\AppData\Local\Temp\WERAAEF.tmp.version.txt
 C:\Users\memory vision\AppData\Local\Temp\WERCC84.tmp.appcompat.txt
 C:\Users\memory vision\AppData\Local\Temp\WERCE2A.tmp.mdmp

Please help me to come out the problem. I am a corporate trainer and I
cant survive without PPTs.

Thanks.

Not sure what might be causing this mess, but let me ask ... did you have PPT
installed in an earlier version of Windows, then upgrade to Vista, or is this a
clean, new Vista install that you've installed PPT 2003 into?

In either case, I'd start PPT and choose Help, Detect and Repair.  You may need
your installation CD.

If this is a Windows --> Vista upgrade, you may want to uninstall Office
entirely then reinstall.
