How do you embed a sound file to play, either all the way or just a small
part of the file, in PowerPoint 2007?

Can you give me step by step directions (idiots guide to embedding sound file)

It will need to be in wav format. Have a look at Quick fix for wav and mp3

First, your file must be wav format and 100kb max size. Any other formats and
bigger size file will be linked other than embedded.

Then, click Insert tab, then Sound icon, choose the file you want to insert,
OK.
