Shevvie,
I believe that you can force powerpoint to not wrap your text by entering
something called a 'no break space'
To enter this special character
type in your first word
Global
Then hold down the ALT key on your keyboard, then using the 'number pad
keys'
press
0160
Then let go of the ALT key
You should see a space appear
Then enter World and repeat the Alt 0160 between each word
That should do the trick

That's really slick, TAJ. I wouldn't even have thought of it! This is one of
those things that drives me nuts, and I've always just used manual textboxes
as a workaround -- but now I can't wait to try a nonbreaking space. Duh!

I still use this technique too, as there are so many other issues with text
labels in graphs
