Could you clarify what you're asking?

Sure - on a pie chart created in PPT, I want data labels to show outside the
pie (category labels); the text is not particularly long but it 'wraps' to
the next line, so without reducing font size, I would like the text all on
one line i.e Global World Market: 10%. Thanks

Shevvie,

I believe that you can force powerpoint to not wrap your text by entering
something called a 'no break space'

To enter this special character

type in your first word

Global

Then hold down the ALT key on your keyboard, then using the 'number pad
keys'

press
0160

Then let go of the ALT key

You should see a space appear

Then enter World and repeat the Alt 0160 between each word

That should do the trick

cheers

That's really slick, TAJ. I wouldn't even have thought of it! This is one of
those things that drives me nuts, and I've always just used manual textboxes
as a workaround -- but now I can't wait to try a nonbreaking space. Duh!
<slapping forehead> Why didn't I think of that a gazillion years ago?! :-)

I learn't it here in this newsgroup!

I still use this technique too, as there are so many other issues with text
labels in graphs
