A drawn logo in 2007 turns into a picture when saved in 2003 compatability
mode. Is there any way to prevent this?

What drawing features does it use? If any of the new effects, for example,
then PPT must make it a picture in order for earlier versions to display it.

Steve,

My mistake - it happened when compressing a file, nothing to do with 2007.
Can't blame it for everything, I guess (mostly I love it).

Still ... compressing converts a vector graphic to bitmap?

Naughty ...

What format was the vector graphic in?

Steve,

The original drawing was grouped and on a slidemaster. When I copy it to a
normal page, ungroup it and then compress the presentation with NXPowerlite,
the ungrouped version stays as a drawing and the grouped version turns into
a picture.

Sounds like something you need to bring up with Tommy and the boys at
Neuxpower? I though you meant you were using PPT's compression feature.

Hi Martin,

NXPowerLite should not have caused this to happen, and we've not heard
any other reports about NXPowerLite converting vectors to bitmap. But
if this is a bug in our software, we'd like to resolve it as soon as
possible.

Would it be possible for you to send the original file over for us to
take a look at? If so, could you please email it to
support@nxpowerlite.com - marked for my attention. If the file is too
big to email, I can give you an FTP address for you to upload it to.
This will help us get to the bottom of this problem as soon as
possible.
