In PowerPoint2007 object model, the method
ActivePresentation.Slides.Hyperlinks.Count does not return the correct count
of hyperlinks, but all other previous PowerPoint versions return the correct
number of hyperlinks. It mainly comes when the shape type is 14. This problem
occurs with the SmartArt layouts also. In the case of type 14, PowerPoint
2007 returns the correct value when we give hyperlink to the place holder
itself or when the hyperlink is set to the first word of the placeholder.

[ie. Add a text ‘PowerPoint 2007 object model, hyperlink count test’. If we
set hyperlink to only the first word – PowerPoint’ the count returns 1, which
is correct. But if we set hyperlink to PowerPoint, object, count etc together
then the count returns 0. Or if we set hyperlink only to the word ‘object’
then also the count returns 0, since it is not the first word]
