I developed a slide show in PowerPoint 2000 and would like to add a song
from a CD to play
throughout the slide presentation. Using PowerPoint menus won't allow that.
Would converting a cda file to wma solve my problem or is there a solution
with limited (G6-P-II) computer power?

If your version of Window Media Player is able and the digital rights
management allows and you are legally authorized to make the copy, I would
simply rip the audio CD using Windows Media Player.
