How can I revise a read-only PowerPoint document?

I saved my PowerPoint presentations on a disc. However, when I try to edit
them, they are identified as "read-only," making it impossible to revise
them.  Any suggestions on how to change the "read-only" status?

You will need to copy it to your HD to edit the presentation.
