That works for text that is highlighted. When the text is not highlighted I haven't been able to adjust the background contrast compared to the text. A scheme color or not? To determine this, select the text, click the down-arrow next to the "A" button on the drawing toolbar. "Automatic" or one of the color chips in the first row may appear to be "depressed" or highlighted. If so, which? What does the tooltip say when you hover the mouse over the chip?
