Perspective Shadows Cut Off in 2007

I've applied to a perspective shadow to a simple bar chart, and all is
fine when it is at the default size. But as soon as I start to stretch
the chart box or the data box to make it bigger, the outside shadow
gets cut off as it will not extend beyond the data box.

Has anyone found a solution to this, aside from adding a blank dummy
bar value as a buffer?

First enlarge the data box, then adjust the size of the bars. Consider the
diagram box like a window: You cannot see objects hidden by the wall around
it.
