I have a user with PowerPoint 2007 and when opening 2003 presentations the
text boxes are not displaying properly. They are using a typical Times Roman
or Arial font, so not an unusual font was used. I also tried opening
PowerPoint 2003 templates/presentations from office.microsoft.com and some
text boxes from those display inconsistently too. The text appears above the
line and you are not able to click and drag or double click to select text
unless your mouse if below the displayed text.  I wasn't able to find any
style or paragraph option which may have been changed.

I have both 2007 and 2003 installed on my computer and am able to open the
files on my 2007 without any problem. Both computers are Dells. Fortunately
the user kept 2003 on so that he can continue using that until this problem
is corrected. I have suggested Office 2007 be re-installed, but any other
ideas?

PPT 2007 is harder on printer drivers than previous versions. Try installing
a Windows-certified printer driver and set it as the default printer. You
don't have to hook up a printer to the system -- you just need the driver.
Here are instrux for installing a Windows-certified driver:
