Powerpoint presentation automatic play

Is it possible to open up a powerpoint presentation in powerpoint with it
starting automatically?  Very much like opening it with the powerpoint
viewer.

Sure,

either rename your file

from

currentname.ppt

to

currentname.ppS

or open the file in powerpoint

the
file menu > save as > change the filetype to powerpoint SHOW (which does the
same as the renaming above)
