pixelninja - 04 Oct 2007 21:18 GMT Hi, First off, I'm using Powerpoint 2003.
I've set up a design template that has both a title slide and a regular slide. On the title slide, I have a Title placeholder and a Text placeholder. On the regular slide I have a Title placeholder and a Text placeholder. When I apply this design template to a new presentation, all of the placeholders have the "Click to add" text in them...except for the Title placeholder on the regular slide. It appears blank, although you can see the dashed line around it. How do I get it to show the "Click to add" text? From what I've read on this forum, with PP 2003 you can't edit this text. I don't want to edit this text, I just want it to show up like its supposed to. Any help?
PPTMagician - 04 Oct 2007 23:54 GMT Try reapplying the layout to the slide.

PPTMagician - 06 Oct 2007 13:34 GMT Go to the Master View of the design and click on Format, Layout and make sure there's a checkmark beside Title
BTW, you don't have the Title selected when you're viewing the regular slide, do you? The text disappears as soon as you select a placeholder.

Any help? pixelninja - 11 Oct 2007 14:54 GMT Hi guys, The "click to add" text is still not showing when I apply my design template.
PPTMagician, yes there is a check next to Title, and no, I don't have the textbox selected.
John, I'll email it to you shortly. Just as a reminder, I'm using PP 2003.

Any help? Luca Brasi - 11 Oct 2007 15:14 GMT What if you adjust the height (make it bigger) of this placeholder on the master?

Good to see you're not sleeping with the fishes, Luca ;-)

Luca Brasi - 11 Oct 2007 15:46 GMT Well, I observed such a behavior if the height of a placeholder is smaller than the height PP would automatically set (if option "Resize shape to fit text" would be used).
Try enabling the mentioned option on the master or even change the font type/size (just for testing purposes).

Mystery! (I applied the template to a new pres in 2003)
