Hello I've got a use that was using a previous version of MSoffice, I
upgraded her to Office 2003 SP2, however since the upgrade she indicates that
she is unable to open certain PPT files. Is there a backward compatibility
issue?

Yes and no.  This was a fairly common problem with the original release of Office 2003/PowerPoint, but the
first Service Pack fixed it.

You'll want to have the user click Help, Check for Updates and apply at least SP1 (if it's still offered ...
you may have to go right to SP3, the most recent service pack; it includes all previous SP fixes)
