We want to allow users to reorder slides in a presentation but to prevent
them from changing any of the text. We want to use slide transitions and
animations so importing JPEG files is out.

I have PPt 97 but will buy a newer version and any plug-ins as needed if
this is doable.

I can do this in Acrobat using PDF files but they like PPt.

Is there is a way to do this?

thanks for reading

I can't think of any simple way to do this.

After v. 2000 you can add a modify password but you wouldn't then be able to
re-order

You can have each line of text in a seperate textbox and cut / paste special
as a png. This can be animated but not edited. Bit of a PITA though!

maybe someone else has a better idea.
