I work with a laptop and have a 19" monitor and I usually extend the size of
my desktop.  When I move PowerPoint from my laptop screen to the exteneded
19" monitor I loose the images in the main workarea in Normal view.  When I
bring it back to the laptop I get the images back.  I also use Articulate
Presenter but I have a hard time beleiving that that would cause this
problem.  My laptop montior is set to 1024x768 and my 19" monitor is set to
1400x1050.  Does anyone have any ideas?  I prefer to work with PPT on my 19"
monitor.

I would try changing hardware acceleration on the 2nd monitor.

How to set graphics hardware acceleration back
