It's kind-a sort-a helps. The problem with doing that, is that it adds
another master to the destination file ... so I then have to doctor the
inserted master with the original master content, then delete what I don't
want from the inserted slide. We canabalize from existing ... a lot! But
it's bits and pieces, a lot of the time which is why I want the formating to
hold.
Pasting unformatted, works well - in word because the "painter" copies
bullets and spacing - but in Powerpoint, that's not the case ... which makes
"pasting unformatted" more of a time killer than I'd like.
When you "copy" slides from PPT to PPT you must use Insert > Slides from
Files to Keep Source Formatting.
If you are pasting text only --PPT to PPT or PPT to Word -- Use Paste
Special > Unformatted Text.
