If you want to insert video, click Insert > Movies and Sounds > Movie from
file. Look for the video file, then click Insert.

All video files only be externally linked other than embedded when you insert
them.
So the answer is impossible.
If you still want to make video in presentation that way, you may try other
alternative solution, such as Flash presentaton with video embedded. View a
sample at http://www.sameshow.com/powerpoint-to-flash/samples-video.html
You may like that way, so feel free to have a try.

no, thats impossible
but converting powerpoint to flash format could solve your problem
