I have been running a slide show on our closed circuit TV channel using power point for over 3 week with no problem. Today, the slides being displayed were flipped on their side (rotated 90 degrees). The slide show on the lap top appears okay. Is there something in the problem that might have changed which caused this. When I display just my screen background is appears correctly. Any ideas or help. Thanks Dennis, PowerPoint is known to throw a fit or two when you run a slideshow continuously for a decent about a time. Your best bet is to restart the slide show after a fixed interval of time. Thanks Shyam/Steve, I routinely update the slide show (at least once a day) with new information or delete expired slides. To do this I close the existing program, copy over an updated version and open the new program. Today when the problem hit I closed PP, shut down the computer, then powered up and open PP and slide show. The problem still existed. I created a new test PP show and tried it with the same results. I was wondering if something in the PP software got corrupted and if reinstalling the software might help. Everything else appears to be running fine on the laptop which is only a couple of months old so not expecting a problem there. Comments? With most there is a shortcut key you might have accidentally hit to flip the slides sideways. But there should be a menu setting to correct this. I would not blame PowerPoint, but the hardware. Thanks Do you use PPT2DVD from ppt-to-dvd.com to put powerpoint on TV? If so, you should contact their technicians. |
