The MacIntosh equivalent to Powerpoint (Keynote) has a "hyperlink only" mode.
Clicking a hyperlink is the only way to move between slides.  Is there an
equivalent in Powerpoint.
Tks for any help.

Click Slideshow, Slide Transition, uncheck Advance on Click, click on Apply
to All

or

Click Slideshow, SetUp Show, choose Browsed by an individual (window) or to
Browsed at a kiosk (full screen)

Sorry for taking so long to reply.
Tks for the suggestion however it only does part of the job.  In Kiosk mode
you lose complete control of the presentation.  It's all automated and timed.
In "hyperlink only" mode you retain control on items such as "builds within
a slide".  The advantage is the ability to give the presenters some control
yet prevent them  from accidentally or deliberately clicking to the "next"
slide which may or may not be the correct one.
Tks Again

Kiosks in PC PPT are only fully automated if you set them up that way. It
sounds like you want to change your transitions to be totally off (not on
mouse click or timed) for all slides, then add your hyperlinks so that you
have navigation elements. This will allow you to click to advance animations
and still prevent users from moving to the wrong slide when you don't want
them to.
