I would like to put a chart that I made in excel into a presentation using
PowerPoint.  I have had no luck copy and pasting, and the chart wizard in
PowerPoint does have custom types.  How can I either get my chart where I
want it, or link to the excel file from within my presentation?

Tina,

I am using Office 2003 in Dutch, so I am translating some of the menu
options as best as I can. Be creative...

Select and Copy the chart in Excel.
Switch to PowerPoint and select Edit / Paste Special.
Select the correct format (probably something usable is pre-selected) and
decide whether you want the chart to be linked (any changes to the chart in
Excel will automatically be seen in PowerPoint) or not (a static "image" will
be placed).
