Slide Master editing

I wish to create a mirror image title slide based on the existing title slide
of a template but I can't edit the location of graphic elements without
changing them for all of the slides (if I change the master). I cant remove
the graphic manually as it is not selectable on the title slide only the
master.  I would like to create a book using these templates but maybe I
can't have the graphic elements on the other side for the left hand pages.
Anyone have any suggestions?

Hi Carolynne,

first of all: PowerPoint is not the right software to write books. Word or
Publisher are better tools for that - and they allow backgroumd images, too.

Which version of PowerPoint do you use? In versions 2002 and 2003 you would
insert a second pair of title and slide master, in 2007 you can add a second
title layout.

Best regards,
Ute

I use 2007. I want to edit an existing 2007 template (Median), which has a
graphic line on the slide master. I have created an alternate Title slide - I
can add the graphic line I want but I can't remove and/or edit the underlying
graphic line that I dont want. (Because it is based on the Slide master). I
will perhaps need to create it from a blank slide.  I was just hoping there
might have been an easy way to mirror a slide.
This will be a photo book (hardly any text) and does actually work really
well for this purpose if I use create a larger book than I need, use a blank
background and I save the results as a JPG at the correct size. I was just
trying to take it to the next level.
Thanks for your assitance.
