How do I set a "hard space" (to avoid line break) in Powerpoint?

How do I set a "hard space" (to avoid line break) in Powerpoint?  I can do it
in Word but cannot figure it out in PP.

Elizabeth,
Do you mean a non breaking space? If that is the case hold down the Alt key
and type 0160
on your numeric keypad, release the alt key.

Hold down the Alt key and enter 0160 on the numeric keypad.
