Copying slides from one presentation to another

So I finally got a presentation I can live with except that I needed help
with the music timing of the first 3 slides.  An IT person where I work came
over to help me.  He copied the first 3 of my slides over to a totally new
presentation and reset the music timing--as well as to completely change the
song.  I guess he thought I could take it from there.

But he was wrong.  I have failed miserably at copying the remainder of my
slides over to his new presentation.  I thought that he had set his slides to
play throughout the whole presentation and that mine would just fall into
place after I copied mine over.  I was wrong!!  The whole presentation just
stopped after his 3 slides even though mine had been copied to follow his.

I can't tell a thing about his timing because he has used a timeline instead
of the way I had been doing it.

Now that you're aware of how little I know, can you suggest a way that I can
copy my remaining slides into his presentation so that his timing and song
change will prevail throughout the whole presentation, or how I could copy
his onto mine?  I'd have him tell me himself except that I won't be in touch
with him for the next 4 days and I desperately need it within 24 hours!
Thanks so very much!

Answering myself again - 2003 I found it!

Now is this still the midi file or something else?

I'll try to help here but if you are desperate I can have somebody fix it
for you for probably next to nothing cost! If you want to go down this route
bear in mind we are on UK time and we close at 1.30 today.

Hi, John:

Thanks so much for your reply.

I'm in Florida and my waking hours are not the average (10 a.m. to 2 a.m.
EST) so by now you're closed, I'm sure, for the weekend.  I'm happy to know
that in desperate situations you might consider fixing things for me at a
reasonable rate.  Are you there on Saturdays?

To answer your question, the IT guy changed the midi file to a wave file,
which should have made things much easier for me, but since I'm so new at the
game I just can't figure out why--when I insert the rest of the slides--the
whole thing just stops dead.

I'm just starting my day and will keep trying and let you know the results.
Thanks so much again, John.

If you can't reach John, or if he can't do it, unknot my reply address and
contact me. Fixing PowerPoint emergencies is my business. (I'm in Phoenix,
so I have a longer day than you do :) )

Good morning, John:

Kathy did a great job.  Glad to hear you're available.  Now all of my stupid
mistakes will be covered in all time zones!  Thanks again for all you do,
John.
