We are using Powerpoint 2003 and we would like to allow hyperlinks to open up
in a seperate window, and then be able to close that window and continue on
with the presentation.  Is it possible to do that?  We have Adobe 8
professional, and Adobe 8 reader and save them as a ppt.  I have also saved
it as a pps.

What do your hyperlinks point to?  What types of files, that is.

And is VBA a workable alternative for you?  That is, do you control the PC or is
this something you need to distribute to others?

I'm not sure what the Adobe (Acrobat, did you mean?) software has to do with it
.. it makes PDFs rather than PPTs, a totally different animal.  Fill in the
details on that one, if you would.  Thanks.

We want to open up the presentation, open up the links to the web and have it open a seperate page and then close it and go back to the presentation right where we left off.

We tried making it into a pps, but that didn't work, we then made the pps
into a pdf and it works if you have Adobe professional, but not if  you just
have Adobe 8 reader.

We were wondering if there was a solution out there of being able to open a
presentation with hyperlinks to the web, which open up into a seperate window
and then close that and still be on the page of the presentation that the
link was on.

If you need more info let me know.
