Everytime I draw a shape such as a rectangle in PPT it defaults to a red fill
with a red glow.  How do I change this or turn it off?

Try setting up a shape how you would like the default to be . RIGHT click >
set as default shape

Hello John,
I had the same issue and was ecstatic th hear the solution.  Only problem is
this only works for the presentation you're in.  Once you close it and open
PowerPoint    again, the defaults are back to where they were.  Can you tell
us how to change them globally?
