PowerPoint blank template not updating

I have saved it in the default location as blank.pot. I have done a search
on the PC for any docs called blank.pot, and updated all of them.

I am using Office 2000, with outlook 2003. I have no choice over products,
as corporate PC.

I just want to change my default slide, so when i open PP, the empty slide
is right. I have not added anything on the Masterslide, just changed the
size.

Hi

I think it needs to be 'Blank Presentation.pot' in 2000. See here for details:

If you work in a corporate environment you should perhaps speak to your IT &
Marketing departments first - firstly you want to make sure you're sticking
to corporate guidelines and secondly maybe everyone can share your new .pot
