One of my students (bless 'em!) asked me if it was possible to make a text
description appear as the pointer rolls over an image.  Can anyone answer
this question?

There are several ways to do this. The easiest one is Quick Trick #16 at
this site:

If that isn't sufficient, there are other ways, but they are not nearly as
easy as this.

This solution is just the job, David.  My sincere thanks on behalf of my
student.
