How do I show text in the outline without formatting and no font style or
other effects?  Thank you

In PPT 2003 and earlier: View your outline.Make sure the Outlining toolbar
is visible, then click the button on that toolbar that is two A's (Show Text
Formatting) - It will toggle the formatting from on to off or off to on.
In PPT 2007: The button is not available from the ribbon. You need to go to
Office button --> PowerPoint Options--> Customize. Change the Choose
commands from to Commands not in the Ribbon. Scroll down to Show Text
Formatting, select it and use the Add button to add it to your QAT (Quick
Access Toolbar).
