I'm using MS Office 2000. Power point fonts are giving me a fit. I have
searched till I'm blue in the face! The list of fonts in PP is shorter than
my little finger. XP home edition shows hundreds of fonts that are on my HDD
but PP shows around 20-40 & the ones I need to use are not showing up in PP
though I have them in XP. How do I get them in to show up in PowerPoint? I've
done every update possible for MS Office, and XP Home Edition.

i think you need to upgrade to office xp with powerpoint 2002
pp2002 gives you far more possibilities also, pp2000 is not that great once
you know the 2002 version
far more possibilities

but i'm not sure that will do it
wait for some more answers here

A few questions for you:

Where are they on your HDD?  If they're not in the Windows Fonts folder, they're
not actually installed in Windows.  PowerPoint can only use installed fonts.

Check Control Panel, Fonts to see what fonts are actually installed.

If the fonts do appear in Control Panel, Fonts but not in PPT, check the file
names.  PowerPoint can only use TrueType and PostScript fonts.  These will have
TTF or PFM extensions respectively.  If the fonts have .FON extensions, PPT
won't use them.
