powerpoint has green box that appears when embedding media player

hello,

I have a problem, powerpoint 2003 stops and freezes, a green box appears as
soon as I embed a media player file

please help

Does that happen during slide edit mode or slide show mode?

I know this phenomenon on some of our computers, mainly laptops, but also
some desktops. I can't offer a solution, but IMHO it's related to Media
player software and video card.

- Which media player software is installed on your machine? (Especially
WinDVD seems to cause problems.)
- Can the problem be solved if you turn down hardware acceleration?
- Does it occur with all video files or certain file formats?
