Why are some (not all) of my slide images blank (white, not even the
background) when printing Notes Pages?  Slides print OK when not printing
Notes Pages.

Do you have an object with a set transparency or gradient transparency over
the whole slide for the blank ones?  Some printer drivers do not correctly
render transparencies in PowerPoint.  Mostly I have seen this with HP print
drivers, but that may be because I use them primarily.

There may be transparencies covering the affected slides.

I inserted two new slides and copied the title, text, and images (one time
individually and another time using the Edit > Select All option) from one of
the slides that had printed as blank previously.  Both techniques allowed
printing as I had hoped and can get me out of my dilemma for the rest of the
slides.
I thank you for giving me information leading to this solution.

One more question on this topic:  Is there a way to identify, select, and
get rid of the transparencies that, apparently, are occluding the slide
images?

Since Edit, Select All and copying the contents to a new slide fixed the
problem, I wonder if transparent shapes are really the problem.  Copying
everything would've copied the transparent shapes as well.

On the other hand, sometimes copy/pasting can clean up certain kinds of
corrupted shapes, so maybe that's what happened.

You might have to do that to all the slides to solve the problem, but first, try
"round-tripping" the presentation to HTML and back:

I am new to the discussion group [this was my first posted problem] and I
just noticed this from Steve Rindsberg in reply to another Group member's
printing notes question:

Switch to Notes Page view.
Go to one of the "troubled" slides.
Rightclick the notes page (not within the Notes or slide image border) and
choose Notes Layout from the popup menu.
I'm guessing there'll be an unchecked checkbox labeled "Slide Image".
Put a check next to that.  You may also want to checkmark "Reapply layout"

Since I already copied and deleted my errant slides, I cannot check to see
if that was the problem.

I am most grateful for your help
