I have created a powerpoint presentation to be used by others at work. I have only created ones to be used by myself in the past. I want to make sure that when it is opened by others that it cannot be accidentally edited, if they hit the wrong key for example. Some users arent very experienced, and may not know what to do, so to keep the integrity of the presentation, I would like to know if there is a way of "locking" it. Cheers, Jo Thanks, I worked it out. I knew that I could make it read only, but I tried to do it through file/properties on the file menu. I always use a password by using save as an clicking on tools, and then security. I saved it using a password to modify, and then opened it without the password clicking on read only and it worked.
