Does PP 2007 not update links the same way 2003 did.  I can't my PP to
recognize the links to my excel spreadsheet, also created in 2007.

I get 2 different errors; "The linked file is unavailable and can't be
updated" and "the server application, source file or item can't be found or
returned an unknown error.  You may need to reinstall the server application.

Why doesn't it work like 2003?  Do I need an add-in that I don't have.

I have my files linked to a monthyly report that changes each month and the
information updates in my excel spreadsheet, but won't forward through to
Powerpoint.  I have looked everywhere online and can't find a solution to my
problem.

Please help

This hasn't been updated for PPT 2007, but perhaps it will give you some
ideas of some things to try:

Can't edit Org Chart, Graph, Excel (error msg: "server application, source
file, or item can't be found")
