First off, I am not very technically minded!  I do the power point
announcements that scroll antomatically for our church.  We wanted to do a
presentation where I would put up a new slide as children narrated a part.  I
could not figure a way to advance the slides manually and have them show
through the projector.  They worked fine on the laptop but only the first
slide would show on the wall.  We use PP 2003.  I played with the settings as
much as I could figure but can't make it work.  Other presentations that I
set up to work automatically also would not work manually.  Is this possible
to do or can you only do automatic with a dual monitor?  Thanks for your
help!!

Hi,

For all your slides, you need to tell powerpoint "Advance slide" - "on mouse
click"

This setting is on the "slide transition" menu in powerpoint 2003.

Then to view the slideshow you choose

"slide show" menu > "view show"

Then after each slide you click or press a key to advance to the next slide.

Thanks for your answer but I did that and it still wouldn't work.  Any other
ideas?
