Hi griffin,,

Regarding your concern, why not create another slide having the same
contents of the first slide and let the word appear/disappear on it. You'll
just be working on the hyperlink.

On the first slide, have the icon or word which will be clicked then create
a hyperlink that will navigate it to the next slide which has the word
appear/disappear as you wanted.

To create a hyperlink, follow these steps: right click the word or icon you
wanted to be clicked, then select hyperlink. Click the "bookmark" button then
select the slide where you wanted it to be navigated.

Happy Holidays.,,

A simple animation to use would be to assign two or three icon images
as triggers for the text that will appear.
Something like the following...

1. Place your text box on a blank part of your slide & animate it to
appear (i.e peek in)
2. Go to effect options for the text box under custom animation
3. Select Timing | Triggers | Start effect on click of: (choose your
first icon image from the list)
4. Then select Effect | After Animation: Hide on next mouse click

Copy the text box and place it directly on top of the first one and
repeat the instructions.

The one big issue I had was to make sure I clicked any icon once to
have the text appear then click the same icon to make the text
dissapear BEFORE you click any other icon to make the next set of text
appear.

Let us know how you get on...
