set text to appear ONLY when clicked

I'd like to set the text boxes for my slide to appear ONLY if I click them.  
I'd like them all there as an option, but I only want them viewed through the
projector IF I click on them.  Please advise.

Not totally sure what you mean but it sounds like you may need "triggers"
