When working on a zoomed ppt page, if you delete an object, the page centers
on the screen and then to go back to the area where you were working, you
need to find it.  Is there a way to make ppt stop this and not move when an
object is deleted while zoomed?

It's a very annoying bug with no known fix. I know we're all hoping it will
make it into the next service pack or a patch or something.

2007??

I'm afraid it's a very annoying bug and there's no way I know to get round
it. Fingers crossed it's in SP2!
