MS Office Forum / General PowerPoint Questions / March 2008Lost Actixe X Controls
When I run a presentation that used to work ok I get the message: The controls that the presentation uses are nothing unusal, fancy or extra. I've just used a few control toolbox text boxes (so I can enter text during the presentation). How do I re-register or re-install the basic, default activex files? What dll am I huniting for (if that's the right question to ask!)? I've tried dectect and repair and have the latest updates and plug-ins as far as I'm aware. Any help gratfull appreciated! Need it sorted by next week! Thanks. Spence I forgot to add it before posting that the error message was: "Some controls on this presentation can't be activated. They might not be registered on this computer." Need it sorted by next week! Thanks. Spence Hi Spence, I suspect you are using early binding instead of late binding on any VBA controls (if you are using VBA). IS VBA support installed on both machines? Did you add any controls to the default control toolbox?
