I am adding hyperlinks to my PP presentation, they all work all the time
except for links to pdf files. The first time I set up the links, they work.
The next time I try it a window says the file cannot be opened. Everything is
in the same folder, and I save my work. I followed the directions on the
'awesome web side to add hyperlinks.
please help Thanks

Some more info would be useful:

What *exactly* does the error message say?

What version of PowerPoint do you use?

What version of Acrobat or Reader?

How exactly do you create the link?  Post the url of the instructions you've
followed, if you like.

I am using PP 2003, Adobe reader 8.1.2, and the pop up Microsoft office PP
window says, 'cannot open specified file'.

I followed directions on website 'awesomebackgrounds.com

All of my PP slides are in the same folder as the pdf files. I just tried
the presentation again, the hyperlinks to pdf files work on the first two
slides, the pdf opens, then beginning with the third slide, the message
appears, cannot open file. Hyperlinks work with word files, and other slides.

Any help would be great. Steve

OK, thanks.

URL?  There are a lot of instructions there for various things.

You might want to download our free FixLinks demo
(http://www.pptools.com/fixlinks/) and use it to run a link report on this
presentation ... post that here and we'll have a peek.

I appreciate your time and effort, but I did find a web site that told me how
to do it. PPTools, pptfaq.com.   It told me to insert object, create from
file, browse, choose pdf, then right click on icon, action settings, click
open, and it worked.

The time and effort pays off then.

I wrote the article there too. <g>

Glad you've got it working.
